I’ve been managing hives at Pegasus Animal Sanctuary now since 2023 and I just love visiting the Sanctuary so much. It’s a beautiful, blissful location with an equally beautiful mission.

Their mission is to rescue abused, neglected and abandoned animals, rehabilitate them and give them a second chance to live out the rest of their natural lives in a caring, loving environment. They believe that every animal matters.

Pegasus Animal Sanctuary is nestled on 98 acres of beautiful rolling fields and forest in Port Perry. It was founded by Jack and Rita Hurst in 2017 and has been a haven for animals in need ever since – rehabilitating them and providing them with a lifelong home filled with love and care. Pegasus is currently home to donkeys, miniature horses, calves, pigs, ducks, and chickens. Get to know them and their stories here.

I love visiting the Sanctuary and I highly recommend others visit too! Jack and Rita offer VIP tours by donation that helps to support their beautiful animal family!  Meet their adorable occupants, learn more about their histories and how the Sanctuary is working to constantly improve their lives.

My bees have a safe space to live and lovely role on the farm, helping to pollinate and keep the Sanctuary beautiful with a healthy environment in bloom. 🌸🌽
